The Introduction of R&D Center
 

Beijing Hanmi Research Center was established in 2008, after more than one year of rapid development, now it has got a sophisticated R & D team, most of whom graduated from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Military Medicine Science and other Chinese well-known University & institutions of higher learning. 90% of them have a master degree, 20% have a doctorate, some are returned scholars, and some are very experienced.

 

R & D center covers an area of 4,000 square meters, including biological laboratories, chemical synthesis laboratory and pharmacology and toxicology laboratories. We start from the design and the decoration with high standards and strict requirements, and strive to build a world-class level R & D center. At present, the R & D center is equipped with NMR, LCMS, LCMS / MS, Techan microplate reader, Agilent HPLC, and many world-class drug research and development facilities.

The technology of Beijing Hanmi R & D center comes from Hanmi of South Korea R & D center. In the biological area, it has focused primarily on long-acting recombinant proteins and peptides long-term development currently. In the chemical area, it mainly develops oral small molecule anti-cancer drugs. Hanmi pharmaceutical has the PCT patents in the two platforms, and can develop a lot of drugs in them. There are already several drugs which enter the I phase / II clinical trials in the United States and South Korea.

Biological group was divided into 6 groups, namely, molecular cloning, cell line selection, mass production, protein sub-engineering, bioanalysis and pharmacokinetics of living measured etc. Recombinant proteins have 4 expression platforms, namely, prokaryotic sources, mammals, insects and yeast etc.. Peptide has the capability of designing, modificating and synthesizing various peptides.

The ongoing projects of small-molecule drug R & D team include the role of the apoptosis pathway in the anti-cancer drugs, small molecule kinase inhibitors, as well as some other antineoplastic drug. We have adopted the R & D project-based approach. Each project includes chemical synthesis, computer-aided design, analysis, pharmacology and pharmacokinetics and some other subjects.

The major work of Pharmacology and Toxicology Group is to evaluate newly developed products completely, and to do some research and investigation and feasibility analysis in the process of Chemical Pharmaceutical research. Pharmacology and toxicology group has established a number of drugs in vitro screening platform, successfully constructed 4 kinds of tumor-bearing mice models, and carried out drug metabolism studies, anti-tumor effect research, and drug safety evaluation experiments.

At present, there are three relevant outcomes which are preparing to apply for patents in the R & D center. With the growth of Beijing Hanmi R & D center. Our R & D direction will be more comprehensive in the future, closely follow the international trend and develop more products with independent intellectual property rights.
